An entire first round went buy, in which Brett Rogers clearly won. Fedor threw several blocked punches, and had been ground and pound for the first time ever. Brett Rogers shocked the crowd. Fedor was getting smashed and Rogers looked great. Brett Rogers outperformed the last dozen of Fedor’s challengers.  In fact, I’d say Brett Rogers won the first round.

But then in a split second, in the middle of the 2nd round. Fedor started bouncing around shaking his fists loose. He threw an overhand-right perfectly timed and perfectly struck. Brett Rogers, 280 pounds, got hit with a blow that could be heard to the ends of the highest mezzanine.  DOWN WENT ROGERS! KNOCKED OUT!

They could not find a  replacement for Josh Barnett who failed his drug test and was subsequently denied his license by the California State Athletic Commission.

Josh Barnett has fought some of MMAs toughest Heavy Weights of all time: Jeff Monson, Mark Hunt, Mirco Cro Cop, Semmy Schilt, Alexsander Emelianenko, and Antonia Nogueira. Josh Barnett is a bad ass who’s fought all over the world, including Pride FC, the most blood thirsty and highest caliber of MMA fighters in one organization at that time. I’ve been blowing up Josh Barnett to UFC fans everywhere. Brotherlove here and still waiting for this fight to happen. I’ve been dreaming of the Fedor Emelianenko, Josh Barnett fight for ever.  WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU THINKING JOSH BARNETT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To make matters worse, this isn’t the first time Josh Barnett got busted for testing positive for performance enhancing drugs in his blood stream. Josh Barnett was accused of using performance enhancing drugs in 2002, after his UFC 85 Heavy Weight Title victory over Randy “the Natural” Couture.

Number one ranked heavy weight in the world Fedor Emelianenko was very disappointed in this unfortunate turn of events. Not only was a huge pay day lost for Emelianenko and the rest of the Affliction Trilogy fighters, but Josh Barnett‘s gonna have to live with this HUGE fuck up forever. He literally burned all his friends and peers that trained for these fights. Then Josh Barnett‘s rank must be in question. Can a cheater really be ranked number 2? Lastly, Josh Barnett has to look into the eyes of  his “good friend” Fedor Emelianenko and act like he didn’t cheat in order to prepare for the fight.

I hope for Josh Barnett’s,  that this is a bad media scandal. Otherwise, I gotta admit my disappointment of missing this long over due fight. What a fuckin’ blow it!
