George St. Pierre vs Nick Diaz isn’t likely to happen. George St. Pierre is the UFC welterweight champion ranked #1 in the world. Nick Diaz is the Strikeforce welterweight champion, ranked 3rd in the world, according to FightMagazine.com. I doubt the organizations will unify the title belts by putting there champions to the test. In my opinion, Nick Diaz wins by submission or TKO do to punches. If George St. Pierre wins, it’ll be a slow process with George St. Pierre controlling the ground game with his wrestling, but he’ll be unable to submit/finish Nick Diaz. It’ll go to the judges.

Both George St. Pierre (above) and Nick Diaz (below) have faced the highest caliber of MMA competition, and both have persevered. George St. Pierre has wins over, BJ Penn, Matt Hughes, Jon Fitch, Josh Koscheck, and several others, while Nick Diaz has wins over Robbie Lawler, Takanori Gomi, Frank Shamrock, and Scott Smith.

Nick Diaz vs George St. Pierre would be a dream fight should it ever occur. According to FightMagazine.com these are the current, MMA Welterweight (170) Rankings. Without a doubt, I’m sure this fight will never occur. The UFC likes to shelter it’s poster boys. My money’s on Nick Diaz.

Rashad Evans VS Thiago Silva, UFC 108, Fight Video is worth the purchase. I have to eat me words and admit UFC 108 was a worthy card. All the fights were competetive or ended with a great finish. Unfortunately the main event between Rashad Evans and Thiago Silva, was the only snoozer. Both these light heavyweight fighters should have finished the fight. UFC 108 undercards were far more enthusiastic.

Rashad Evans VS Thiago Silva, UFC 108, January 10, 2009. HAPPY NEW YEAR is not quite the way 2010 started for Light-Heavyweight Thiago Silva. Too little too late is the Brazilians nickname in this fight. An unfortunate decision favoring his opponent, Rashad Evans, earns Thiago Silva a second loss in his MMA career. I personally feel that this fight should not have been decided on, by the judges. Both Rashad Evans and Thiago Silva should have fought for a finish. The fans got gypped.

MMA: What The Fuck Josh Barnett!

Affliction canceled its up coming MMA show scheduled for August 1, 2009 in Anaheim next Friday. They could not find a  replacement for Josh Barnett who failed his drug test and was subsequently denied his license by the California State Athletic Commission.

Josh Barnett has fought some of MMAs toughest Heavy Weights of all time: Jeff Monson, Mark Hunt, Mirco Cro Cop, Semmy Schilt, Alexsander Emelianenko, and Antonia Nogueira. Josh Barnett is a bad ass who’s fought all over the world, including Pride FC, the most blood thirsty and highest caliber of MMA fighters in one organization at that time. I’ve been blowing up Josh Barnett to UFC fans everywhere. Brotherlove here and still waiting for this fight to happen. I’ve been dreaming of the Fedor Emelianenko, Josh Barnett fight for ever.  WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU THINKING JOSH BARNETT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To make matters worse, this isn’t the first time Josh Barnett got busted for testing positive for performance enhancing drugs in his blood stream. Josh Barnett was accused of using performance enhancing drugs in 2002, after his UFC 85 Heavy Weight Title victory over Randy “the Natural” Couture.

Number one ranked heavy weight in the world Fedor Emelianenko was very disappointed in this unfortunate turn of events. Not only was a huge pay day lost for Emelianenko and the rest of the Affliction Trilogy fighters, but Josh Barnett’s gonna have to live with this HUGE fuck up forever. He literally burned all his friends and peers that trained for these fights. Then Josh Barnett’s rank must be in question. Can a cheater really be ranked number 2? Lastly, Josh Barnett has to look into the eyes of  his “good friend” Fedor Emelianenko and act like he didn’t cheat in order to prepare for the fight.

I hope for Josh Barnett’s,  that this is a bad media scandal. Otherwise, I gotta admit my disappointment of missing this long over due fight. What a fuckin’ blow it!
